My Portfolio Well, here is my final project for my Digital Media class (FMX 210)!! I am delighted I decided to take this class. It both further developed my familiarity and introduced myself to five platforms within Creative Cloud. I found this course to be both accessible and challenging. Easy because I loved every bit of it and challenging because I had to become even more meticulous with following directions and watching YouTube videos to complete assignments. I can't wait to further developed my skills from what I have already learned, create WAY MORE digital artwork, and revisit projects that introduced tools and techniques. Thank you, Professor Roundtree!!

InDesign ~Business Cards~ For this project, we were asked to create three business cards through InDesign while incorporating the previous logo we made in Illustrator CC. The three layouts I designed are below! Business Card 1 - Front Business Card 1 - Back For this first card, I wanted to keep the layout clean and sleek while still being creative. I didn't want my logo to be on the front of my card because I felt as though it would be too cramped. Therefore, I chose to keep the front, simple and sleek while still maintaining the design. Also, the footprints guide the viewer's eyes to the edge of the card, which would cue them to flip it over to find my information. Honestly, this is my favorite design out of all three. Photoshop ~Somewhere~ Somewhere, a place that we were asked to place ourselves. The purpose of this piece is to put ourselves in an area that we would love to be or haven't been. Above, is a picture of me, while wearing some hiking gear, placed on the Stairway to Heaven Hike on O'ahu, Hawai.  I chose this photo because I love the outdoors. If there were an opportunity, whether it be to adventure and capture Hawaii's beauty, to have a summer internship, or to somehow be there for a few months, I would take that opportunity in a heartbeat. I love the ocean because I have lived near it for the past four years, and I also love the mountains. Therefore, Hawaii is the perfect scene for me to be. InDesign Tutorials ~My Top 3 Favorites~ Hello!! If you are glancing through my blog post, then this is a post to inform you that this is the first time I am trying out InDesign. I have used many of the applications included in creative cloud and as of right now my favorite is Photoshop. Every day I look up YouTube videos to create amazing visuals and learn how to edit my photos in a professional manner. InDesign is very different from Photoshop, yet so similar at the same time. I am super excited to learn how I can use this tool towards different projects and ideas that I have in mind. Photoshop ~Somewhere~ Somewhere, a place that we were asked to place ourselves. The purpose of this piece is to put ourselves in an area that we would love to be or haven't been. Above, is either a picture that was taken from a drone or a helicopter. Accurately, this photo captures the NYC Marathon runners. I chose this photo because I want to one day run a marathon. As a retired student-athlete, I love competing and training for a goal.   Above is the picture I chose for myself. I had a friend sit on top of their car and take this for me with their iPhone. We both thought it was a great idea to run with the sun beaming down on my right side to create the correct running shadow. I chose to use an iPhone for capturing this to match the blurry effect as much as possible. I will say I enjoyed choosing this for my first somewhere experiment because it wasn't overly challenging. I loved this project because it forced me out of my comfort zone while using adjustment layers and multiple settings within photoshop. My inspiration grew from looking at Double Exposure Effect Photoshop pictures. I was eager to try it out and change my hair to either trees or mountains. In my opinion, my first attempt at this kind of artistry turned out great!! Photoshop ~Tag Brush & Print - Cleaned UP~ Below is my original statement. I wanted to revisit my tag print and clean it up. I started from scratch and created a layout of vibrant colors to display my updated print and then created a single print with three colors combined. I love the results and look forward to creating more tag prints with future designs.  "Below is my tag print. The tag print first started as a logo tag which was turned into a tag brush. I had a lot of fun completing this project because it provided some pizazz to my clean and simple logo. Furthermore, this logo represents my signature, which I can now apply to my present and future work.  This logo can also conveniently switch colors. Photoshop ~B&W Photo to Color Photo~ For this project, I chose to use a picture of me standing on the Beach Huts at Muizenberg Beach, Cape Town, South Africa. This photo is perfect because the original one displays a vibrancy of colors as well. I would describe them as lego colors - yellow, red, green and blue. Fun fact: Muizenburg Beach is known for its surfing community. Also, home of many great white sharks. When I was there back in the summer of 2017, I remember walking around and there being giant wooden signs asking the public to beware of the great whites. This is my first Black and White to Color Portrait of the three that are shown below. This is the first time I have transformed a black and white photo into a vibrant, revived photo. For this particular version, I chose to use the Analogous palette. I really enjoyed this project because of the challenge that was presented by being forced to only use colors from the palette. I overlapped a mint blue, sky blue, and deep green/blue.

Illustrator CC  ~Gradient Mesh~  As you can see below, I created a gradient mesh in Illustrator of Mickey Mouse. I was inspired to develop mickey because I currently live in Florida, and growing up, I would go to Disney World every spring break. It was something I looked forward to as a young child every year. Also, within the program Illustrator CC, I needed to practice using the pen tool. He was perfect for this because of his simple character design. After completing this project using the pen tool and incorporating gradient mesh, I have realized this is how artist make their artwork come to life. As a new artist in Illustrator, I loved completing this project because it allowed me to see simple posters, banners, and online artwork from a new perspective. It’s impressive, and I admire the artwork that much more. Even though it most likely doesn’t take a professional illustrator user much time in comparison to me, it motivates me to spend more time mastering these
