Illustrator CC- Calligramme Project - My Sea Turtle

Image
Illustrator CC ~Calligramme Project - My Sea Turtle~ As you can see below, I designed a sea turtle. I wanted to keep the layout simple, yet colorful. I have always depicted the ocean to be vibrant, happy, and full of life. I chose to design it looking down because I based it on a picture from memory. Although I am from Louisville, Ky, Sarasota, FL is considered my second home because it is where my grandparents live. When I was a child, we would frequently travel throughout the area, specifically Long Boat Key. This past spring, I was in Sarasota on a bridge trying to take a photo of the beautiful seawater, and out of nowhere, a sea turtle popped up for a few seconds before swimming back to the bottom. I was amazed because it was the first sea turtle I had ever seen in its native habitat. The turtle I created represents my childhood, my recent memory, and the little kid inside of me. My depiction of a sea turtle is not intended to create conflict, but inspire people

Adobe Illustrator CC Tutorials (My Top 3 Favorites)

My Top 3 Favorite Illustrator CC Tutorials Here are a few links to tutorials that I found very helpful when brainstorming ideas for my next class project. In my Design Studio course, we recently finished our  Dreamweaver (Creative Cloud) projects. It was hard and took many hours, but I was pleased with the results. With this upcoming project, I look forward to being able to incorporate these techniques into an idea that will be even better than my last. Hopefully, it will involve an outdoorsy scene or something that reminds me of my childhood! HTML5 Canvas- Project 1 (Olaf)

Image
Dreamweaver HTML5 Canvas - OLAF Above in the HTML5 canvas that I created, I wanted to aim for something that pulls from multiple facets of my life in the lightest way. Olaf, the snowman from Frozen is cheerful, kind, and has a childlike spirit. In this picture, he is dancing in the snow surrounded by the forest trees. I loved this photo because it reminded me of building my first snowman with my dad at a young age. While doing so we personified the snowman and made long-lasting memories. Additionally, the forest trees bring in my sense of self because I love the outdoors and it reminds me of my favorite trail located out West in Portland, Oregon. I am at my happiest when I am walking through super tall forest trees that smell like pine and mountains. Furthermore, my name is Molly O’Hara and my friends call me Mollusk Olaf because they say I resemble Olaf’s cheerfulness and simplicity.   This is the photo that inspired me to create the HTML5
